APPLICATION
Aerospace
Wire rope isolators and elastomer isolators play a vital role in the aerospace field.
Equipment Vibration Reduction: Satellites and space stations are equipped with a multitude of precision instruments and devices, such as optical cameras and scientific experimental apparatus. These devices are highly sensitive to vibration environments, and even minor vibrations can affect their normal operation and measurement accuracy. Isolators can effectively isolate the vibrations generated by the equipment, preventing the transmission and amplification of vibrations between different components, ensuring the stable operation of the instruments and improving the accuracy of data collection and experimental results.
Docking Buffering: During the docking process of spacecraft, significant impact forces and vibrations are generated. Isolators can be installed in the docking mechanism, and through their excellent damping characteristics, they can absorb and dissipate energy, reducing the impact force at the moment of docking. This protects the spacecraft structure from damage and also helps to achieve smooth and precise docking.
Engine Vibration Reduction: The engines of launch vehicles generate intense vibrations during operation. If these vibrations are not controlled, they can be transmitted to other parts of the rocket, affecting its overall performance and reliability. Isolators can be installed at the engine mounting locations to effectively isolate and attenuate the vibrations generated by the engines, reducing the impact of vibrations on the rocket’s structure and internal equipment.
Vehicle Structure Vibration Reduction: During rocket flight, vibrations in the vehicle structure can be caused by factors such as aerodynamic forces and changes in engine thrust. Isolators placed at key locations on the vehicle structure can improve the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle, reduce vibration response, and enhance the stability and safety of rocket flight.
Landing Gear System Vibration Reduction: The landing gear of an aircraft has to withstand a huge impact force and generate strong vibrations at the moment of landing. Isolators can be used as auxiliary vibration reduction devices for the landing gear, working in conjunction with traditional oleo-pneumatic shock struts to further absorb and dissipate energy. This reduces the jolting during aircraft landing, improves passenger comfort, and also helps to protect the landing gear structure and related components, extending their service life.
On-Board Equipment Vibration Isolation: Various on-board aircraft equipment, such as avionics and hydraulic systems, are subject to vibration influences from multiple factors during flight, including engine vibrations and airflow disturbances. Using isolators to provide vibration isolation for these devices can effectively reduce vibration interference, ensuring the normal operation of the equipment and reducing equipment failures and maintenance costs caused by vibrations.
